Doug Morris has considered it a privilege to serve Sealaska and its shareholders since 1990 when he began serving as the controller for Sealaska’s Building Products Group in Fairbanks and Anchorage. In 1995, at Sealaska’s request, he moved to Ketchikan as an accountant for Sealaska Timber Corporation. He was promoted to controller and then to vice president and chief financial officer. After 12 years at STC, Morris moved to Juneau headquarters, again at Sealaska’s request. He served as director of accounting and corporate controller, advancing to chief financial officer in 2010.
Morris is an Alaskan and raised an Alaskan family. He grew up, graduated from high school, and married in the Fairbanks area. His bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting was earned from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. He lives with his wife of 35 years and has three grown children and 10 grandchildren.
