STC LogoMaintaining the Value of Our Native Forests

Sealaska Timber Corporation (STC), headquartered in Ketchikan, Alaska, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sealaska Corporation. Founded in 1979, STC was formed to develop and market the resources conveyed to Sealaska through ANCSA.

Sealaska owns 290,000 acres of surface land, and STC is the dominant timber producer in Southeast Alaska. With nearly 30 years of experience harvesting logs from our aboriginal forests to world markets, STC is a price leader on the Pacific coast, marketing more than 3.5 billion board feet of timber since its inception.

STC takes great pride in responsible forest management, consistent quality assurance and reliability of delivery. Primary products marketed by STC include western hemlock, Sitka spruce, western red cedar and Alaska yellow cedar.

The timber industry is constantly changing and STC must carefully evaluate future ANCSA harvest levels to maintain sustainable forests. Long-term, strategic forest management is vital to the longevity of Sealaska Corporation, and is the driving factor in STC operations. We are committed to finding the best methods to responsibly manage our forest, fish and wildlife habitats to ensure future generations the benefit of a productive timber environment.
