Seeking a way to show his appreciation to the Corporation and help out fellow Natives in the process, Patrick Boland decided to intern for Olympic Fabrication this summer.
According to Boland, he encountered new situations and experiences on a daily basis.
“I have really enjoyed interning at Olympic Fabrication; everyone in the company has made it very pleasant to come to work and made it easy for me to learn!”
Boland helped work on a company-wide manufacturing movement and handled boxes for 737 airplanes.
He was born and raised in Seattle, Wash. and is one-quarter Tlingit - Raven Frog from his grandmother’s side. Boland is the son of John and June Boland and grandson of Thomas and Marilyn Boland.
Boland pursues a degree in mechanical engineering technology from Central Washington University in Ellensburg, Wash. After graduation, he hopes to return to Sealaska.
