Investment Funds

We continue to make strategic investments by leveraging our strong business relationships. Investment earnings fluctuate with the stock and bond markets, as well as with the shifting world economy. Sealaska answers this risk and volatility with discipline.

In addition to stocks, bonds and private equity investments, Sealaska invests in special opportunity business ventures in which Sealaska is one of many investors and does not have daily or direct management control.

Permanent Fund
Sealaska's Permanent Fund continues to be a source of strength for our Corporation, providing shareholders with reliable dividends since 1987. In 2006, the fund achieved exceptional growth in its investments, yielding a net income of $15.5 million. Based on this performance, the Board declared shareholder dividends in 2006 totaling $6.7 million from the Permanent Fund.
