Alaska Coastal Aggregates, LLC (ACA) is a wholly owned
subsidiary of Sealaska Corporation. Sealaska is the largest private landowner
in Southeast Alaska with an entitlement of approximately 560,000 acres of
subsurface estate. Subsurface estate is located just beneath the surface of a
section of land. Much of Sealaska's estate contains lands geologically endowed
with large deposits of construction grade aggregate.
ACA was Sealaska's first business to be certified as an 8(a)
and Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) under the U.S. Small Business Administration.
With these certifications, ACA can access opportunities set aside for qualified
socially and economically disadvantaged small businesses.
As a certified 8(a) and SDB, ACA is
positioned to gain strategic partners to become a prime supplier of
construction aggregate material for state, federal and municipal
projects in Coastal Alaska.
