Natural Resources Shareholder Employment Policy

It is Sealaska’s policy to promote economic opportunities for shareholders by providing hiring preference to Sealaska shareholders. Preference is to occur when a shareholder candidate meets the qualifications stated in the position description for a position being recruited along with other candidates; the shareholder will be given preference over non-shareholder candidates. The Natural Resources Department offers a financial incentive to silviculture contractors who successfully recruit, hire and train shareholders to perform silviculture work.
