BOARD SERVICE Member of the Sealaska Board since 1979. Chair of the Compensation Committee, and serves on the Finance Committee. Serves on the board of Nypro Kánaak Iowa and Sealaska Timber Corporation.
I would like to continue as a Board member of Sealaska Corporation and request your support either for me personally through direct voting, or as part of the board slate team by voting discretionary in this election.
I’ve been in business in Craig, Alaska since 1965 and am fully aware of the economic challenges that we face in every aspect of a business operation.
I am very committed to Sealaska shareholders and the dividends you receive. I am a strong supporter of the Permanent Fund, growing it to continually increase your benefits. I am equally committed to the success of our business operations through growth and better profits, which is the other part of your dividend.
Sealaska’s cash position is very strong and is the reason we can continue operations, even though the value of our investment portfolio lost ground during the recent economic situation. We continue to move forward and have a solid strategic plan for future growth.
I believe we should continue to increase support for our scholarship program and the Sealaska Heritage Institute, both of which are so important for our children and our cultural beliefs.
We have a diverse and very competent Board of Directors. We are making right decisions to build for the future and appreciate your support.
