We are excited to be working closely with Central Council, Tlingit & Haida Regional Housing Authority, Southeast Alaska Regional Health Consortium and the League of Women Voters to register and educate voters for the 2012 election.
According to Get Out the Native Vote, in 2008 6 million American’s did not vote, because they missed a registration deadline, or didn’t know how to register to vote. The Juneau Voter Registration Rally is one opportunity to help people get ready to vote. The rally is a non-partisan event focused on creating awareness about the importance of being prepared to vote. That includes registering to vote and voting on election day.
The 2012 general Election Day is Tuesday, November 6, 2012. Be sure you are ready to vote.
