Sealaska was sad to learn that former director Louis J. Gloria has passed. “On behalf of Sealaska we send our condolences to the family,” said Rosita Worl, Sealaska board vice chair. “We are saddened by the loss and send our spirits to strengthen the family.”
“He was always pleasant, dedicated and certainly contributed to the progress of Sealaska while he was on the board,” said Worl. “His support was always appreciated. I know the board members who knew him each have fond memories of him.”
“My father’s spirit was a commitment to improving community,” said his son David Gloria. “His passion is now in the hands of his grandson Todd Gloria who serves on the San Diego Council.”
Louis Gloria was born in Juneau, Alaska and raised in Petersburg. He served on the Sealaska board from 1979–1988.
