Sealaska Corporation recently mailed an update on the land legislation referred to as Haa Aaní to Prince of Wales Island residents.
The four-page update provides information on the legislation Sealaska believes is vital to ensuring economic success in the region.
“I’m proud of Sealaska for its efforts to secure public access to the economic development lands in Haa Aaní,” said Sealaska Board Member Bill Thomas. We should all have rights to recreation, both Native people and non-Native alike. Everyone in Alaska should be able to hike and enjoy the beauty of POW.”
