Sealaska Director Byron Mallott to Speak on ANCSA

In recognition of National Native American Awareness Month, Sealaska Heritage Institute is sponsoring a series of noon lectures by Southeast Alaska Native leaders.

The brown bag lunch series begins with a presentation by Sealaska director Byron Mallott. On Monday November 2, 2009 Mallott will discuss the formation of Native Corporations under the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act.

Other luncheon presentations will focus on topics such as Native history and languages, art and statehood.

Each presentation will be held on Monday’s during the month of November at the Sealaska Plaza in the 4^th floor board room.
