City and Borough of Juneau Recognizes Sealaska

tdd200.jpgCity & Borough of Juneau Mayor Bruce Botelho published a proclamation into the City record commending Sealaska for its ongoing commitment to improving the aesthetics and quality of life in Juneau. Mayor Botelho stated in his proclamation that the care and maintenance of the landscaping at the Sealaska Plaza sets a high standard and serves as a model for all local properties.

Sealaska’s landscaping was designed and nurtured by landscape architect Judy Sherburne of Juneau.

“This is great recognition of Sealaska’s commitment to Haa Aani, the Native value guiding us to utilize and care for our land,” said Todd Antioquia, Sealaska director of corporate communications. “Sealaska Plaza has been a symbol of our Native people, our ties to the land since time immemorial and our impact and participation in today’s economy.”
