Sealaska Executive VP Appointed to Governor's Team

Alaska's newly-elected Governor Sarah Palin has named Sealaska Executive Vice President Rick Harris to her transition team. Harris and 17 other citizen volunteers will lead Palin's incoming administration as they move into the capitol. Harris has been chosen to co-lead the Department of Environmental Conservation team.

"It is a tremendous honor to represent Southeast Alaska and help the new governor in her new transition," said Harris. "This is an opportunity to aid the entire state with her efforts at ensuring a smooth transition."

Harris has been at Sealaska since 1980 and has held several management and executive positions within the corporation, including senior vice president of natural resources and executive vice president of Sealaska Timber Corporation.

Harris' post on the governor's team is temporary and will complement his duties as executive vice president of Sealaska.
